ZSL

The Alliance first produced 2 comprehensive handbooks for ZSL, outlining regulatory guidance on biosecurity and habitat restoration for native oysters in the UK and Europe.

The revised design and format of these guidebooks was so well received within the conservation community, that a further 4 handbooks were commissioned by partnership organisations such as the Environment Agency, CEFAS, ABPmer, The University of Portsmouth and Enfield Council over the following years.

The handbooks were substantial pieces of literature, taking many months to complete, coordinating content from multiple authors, creating bespoke illustrations and processing hundreds of pieces of photography. All well worth the effort, if we are to take positive action to maintain our valuable habitats and species around these islands.
