TalentSpark and Alliance Creative, building brands together
Start-up recruitment specialists TalentSpark has joined forces with agile creative collective, Alliance Creative, to ensure Scotland’s tech entrepreneurs have the best possible chance of sourcing the talent they need to grow their business.
According to a recent study carried out by parent group Eden Scott, 92% of candidates research a prospective employer’s vision and values before applying for a job, which highlights just how important it is to project the right image of your company to those you seek to hire.
Having seen the demand for this type of product, TalentSpark has chosen to partner with Alliance Creative to provide companies with a complete end-to-end brand solution, from an initial branding workshop to final strategic marketing implementation. This approach ensures that TalentSpark clients have a clearly defined proposition and the required level of creative assets to attract the right candidates in an incredibly competitive talent market.
Alliance Creative, who now have a team of 75+ in their network, has had a record-breaking year of growth. Their adaptive model, which is disrupting the Scottish marketing sector, is the perfect fit for start-up businesses where cashflow can be a challenge and flexibility in service affordability is key.
As a result of this visionary partnership, TalentSpark will now be able to package recruitment and marketing into a new, single-vision product tailored for clients in all stages of their brand journey. Like nothing else on the market, TalentSpark’s focused and complimentary solution will be built upon years of shared experience and knowledge within the Scottish start-up scene and the brand and marketing community.
“Start-ups have to be able to clearly articulate their offering to attract the best talent and therefore TalentSpark is delighted to partner with Alliance Creative. We are confident that this partnership will provide an unprecedented level of expertise and advice to start-ups and scale-ups in attracting and retaining employees in what is now a candidate led market.”
Jane Kennedy, Associate Director, TalentSpark
“For many start-ups and early stage companies, accessing high quality marketing professionals is deemed either too expensive or unnecessary. We have honed a product to address both of these perceptions to enable businesses to tap into a level of creative experience previously thought of as unattainable. We are ideally positioned to assist a broad spectrum of businesses to seize a competitive advantage within their sector.”
Steve Johnstone, Director, Alliance Creative

Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce ‘Innovation in Business’ award 2020
We are delighted to share that Alliance Creative are shortlisted for the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce ‘Innovation in Business’ award 2020, sponsored by Forth Ports. We’re up against some tough competition, but are trusting that our creative business model will have what it takes to bring the award home to our non-existent building. Although a trophy cabinet was not included in the plan of our virtual office, we do offer a whole range of award-winning creative talent to deliver our agency alternative.
We look forward to celebrating with our fellow ECC colleagues on Thursday 27 February.
An exciting partnership with 3D and photography packaging experts R-Brand
We’re pleased to officially launch an exciting new partnership with Andy McIntosh and Fraser Macdonald of R-Brand.
We’re all about creative excellence and these guys have it in abundance when it comes to producing stunning packshot and campaign imagery. Whether it’s 3D builds from scratch or traditional photography, the standard is of the highest quality. No need for expensive London agencies, it’s all very affordable and right here in Edinburgh.
Considerable investment in hardware and software allows them to combine 3D software with Esko pre-press workflows, capturing every piece of detail you’d want to elevate and showcase your product. Versatile and flexible creation of multiple campaign assets is what we offer. With an in-house Hasselblad H5D 50 and full digital lighting studio also available, they can marry traditional photography with high-end retouching, already delivered for global brands such as Rolex, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Chanel, Mugler, Mercedes, Aston Martin, not to mention a host of promo imagery for cinematic blockbusters.

National Museums Scotland Tyrannosaurs retouching project
This was a fun retouching project! Expertly pulled together by the sublimely talented Andy McIntosh, National Museums Scotland asked us to provide a selection of realistic shots showing dinosaurs rampaging around Edinburgh. Andy took top quality shots of various iconic locations around the city and comping in the supplied dinosaur images, he made it look like we were under attack! Don’t they look just brilliant?
Another great exhibition to help promote, packed full of interactivity and top class exhibits, appealing to all age groups perfectly. Well done to the NMS team who make it all happen, bound to be a ‘roaring’ success!

Buildstore website launch
No sooner than we were relaunching our own website, we launched Buildstore’s shiny new site too!
This was a huge job, and a brilliant example of how we can integrate our team within a client’s organisation. Maria Fascione provided vital UX and architecture support to their in-house designer and head of marketing, followed by the mammoth task of building the site. Ross Falconer worked hand-in-hand with Buildstore’s team to get it all working slickly – and looking great!
a look. It you’re anything like us you’ll come away thinking “I
want to build a house now!”
