Edinburgh Napier University student graduation campaign 2021
We’re delighted to have worked with our friends at Edinburgh Napier University to roll out this fantastic idea.
It’s been a tough old year or so for the students, who have now missed out on their graduations for the second year running.
Creating a wide range of assets from billboards and bus stops to trams and taxis, the University have taken over #Edinburgh to acknowledge the hard work of all their graduating students.
Urban Wetland design guide for rejuvenating inner-city spaces
Hot off the press this month is an Urban Wetland design guide for Enfield Council.
Having been impressed with the work we did for the ZSL Oyster handbook last year, we were approached to design and create the Urban Wetlands Design Guide project. They wanted something similar in design tot he Oyster Handbook, but needed to have its own distinctive look and feel. In addition, they wanted us to create infographics which were easy to follow and pleasing to the eye while also working well with the design and layout of the document.
Urban Wetland is a design guide whose aim is to provide comprehensive and practical advice on constructing wetlands to mitigate urban diffuse pollution. This document is based on the London Borough of Enfield’s track record of delivering urban wetlands in various locations. The guide is intended for anyone interested in designing wetlands to improve water quality, particularly landscape designers looking for an introductory guide for designing in urban scenarios.
A decade of trading worth shouting about
Well, here we are, we’ve reached a real landmark, ten years in business. Now that we’ve had a couple of stiff birthday drinks (with our cornflakes!!!), we’d like to take this opportunity to get in touch with our excessively emotional sides. So our deepest thanks go to the many people who, in their different roles, have helped to make Alliance Creative what it is today: a – hic – temporarily inebriated business with the best employees, freelance talent, collaborators, suppliers, advisors and, above all – burp – clients. And we’d like to thank you if you’ve been a part of our first decade. Hopefully you’ll also be a part of our – hic – shecond. x
Virgin Money, the new force on the High Street
Virgin Money has begun its multi-million pound rebranding of its national network of Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank and Virgin Money sites to the new Virgin Money branding and is due to be completed by spring 2021, bringing all stores under a single brand.
We were briefed to create video content for the launch of the Edinburgh, George Street Virgin Money Store. The revamped and rebranded Virgin Money stores rewrite the definition of what a branch used to be. We were asked to show the new branch in all its glory and highlight the services that they offer including, meeting spaces, comfy lounges, high speed Wi-Fi and use of in-store iPads – all for free. As well as every day services for full personal, mortgage and business banking available to 6.6 million customers in the Virgin Money Group. The revamped and rebranded Virgin Money stores are due for completion by spring 2021.
Graham Kells did a great job of pulling the script together while coordinating the staff and the shoot during some hugely testing COVID restrictions.
All through 2020 we supported Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank Group with their challenge of transitioning to Virgin Money. This long process involved inserting members of our artworking resource pool in-house at their Glasgow office to provide overflow support to their busy team
The Alliance were brought in to help create video content for or the Edinburgh George Street transformation, promoting the fact that each store will offer full banking services to all 6.6 million customers in the Virgin Money Group, vastly increasing the network of available stores to existing Yorkshire Bank, Clydesdale Bank and Virgin Money customers.
The revamped and rebranded Virgin Money stores will offer services beyond the traditional bank branch of the past, including free Wi-Fi and use of in-store iPads.
